Thanks for a great Arts Fest Beverly in 2015!
For the 13th year in a row, Arts Fest Beverly was a phenomenal event – more than 100 talented artists, large crowds all day long, sunny skies, art created on the spot, dee-lish food and engaging kids activities – a perfect day!
Arts Fest is the culmination of months of planning for the committee and a full 12-hour day for all the event volunteers. This year, our committee was led by Kathleen Moore and Heather Wolsey. Tireless committee members included Deanna Pierpan, Janice Preston, Joanna Scaparotti,
Neville DePass, Sandra Griffel, Suzie LaMont and Terese Trapani.
At the festival, a hundred little jobs need to be done to make sure everything goes smoothly. Our volunteers kept the food court clean, put signs around town, carried heavy tables, helped vendors set up their canopies, took photos and more. Thank you to Alton Frabetti, Amanda Hynes, Andrew and Susan Whitelocks, Ann Long, Anne Webster, Beth Hubley, Blyth Hazen, Brad Jones, Brenda Murphy, Caitlin Duggan, Charlie Boschen, Charlie Perlo, Cheryl and Tony Sydorko, Claire Thompson, Craig Hovey, Dalton Young, Dino Traite, Dobrochna Szonert, Don Preston, Donna Musumeci, Eileen Duggan, Jack Zelloe, Jacquie Spector, Jennifer Deprez, Joan Nesbit, Joe Younger, Joe Zelloe, John Swain, Joseph Tofalo, Joyce Moore, Julia Campbell, Julie Chechik, Kristan Peachey, Mark Vogel, Mary Grant, Matt Dettorre, Matt Ulrich, Medley Long, Miranda Gooding, Nancy Ormiston, Nancy Putnam, Nick Zarkades, Pam Eckmann, Pat Allen, Paulette Frazier, Rick Mooney, Rhonda Wallace, Scott Kearney, Susan Hacker, Tori Webster and more.
Our annual kickoff party to celebrate the artists, our sponsors and volunteers was held at the Walter J. Manninen Center for the Arts at Endicott College, a perfect setting for an arts festival party! Dr. Richard Wylie and Kathleen Moore were gracious hosts for the evening which also serves as the opening reception of the summer-long Arts Fest Beverly Community Art Exhibit. This inspiring exhibition showcases work by artists who live, work or study in Beverly. Check www.endicott.edu for details and hours. We also introduced Alyssa Watters, our Arts Fest featured artist for 2015. Alyssa’s paintings are a highlight of the exhibition and not to be missed!
