Summer banners hang from approx April 15 – November 15. Winter banners hang from approx November 15 – April 15. Other than brief periods during which the City DPS is changing out the banners, your name will be visible all year long!
The size of your name on sponsor tags will be bigger this year! Banners are double-sided, 72”x28” and are guaranteed against damage. Banners will be hung at key intersections and locations downtown.
We reached out to our local community of artists earlier this year to submit designs for our downtown light pole banners. The banner competition received a number of outstanding entries. After much deliberation, Steve DeGrappo's striking design was chosen for our summer banner. For his design he chose St. Mary's Church, First Parish Unitarian Church and the First Baptist Church for their architectural elements and incorporated daisies to represent the Garden City. When Steve found out about the contest he was excited, having just started his own photography and graphic design business, Middlebury Graphics.
BMS would like to thank winner Steve DeGrappo and all of the talented artists that participated in the contest. We would also like to thank the City of Beverly for installing the banners and sponsor tags.
