Beverly Main Streets is pleased to announce the first light-pole Banner Sponsorship program for downtown Beverly.  The Sponsorship program enables businesses, organizations and residents the opportunity to buy a banner which will be hung downtown for the next 2 summers, and have up to 3 lines of text advertising their name on a sponsor tag that hangs below the banner.  In addition to beautifying the downtown district, the banners designate downtown Beverly as a destination for shoppers, diners and tourists.  Sponsorship recognition on a banner is an excellent way to promote your business and to show your pride in Beverly.

The new banners were designed by Beverly resident and Main Streets volunteer Julie Archibald.  The banners are 72” x 28” and the sponsor tags which hang below are 14” x 28”.  Both pieces are double-sided.  The banners will be hung for a minimum of 4 months (June 1 thru September 30) for 2 consecutive years, starting in 2009.  The banners are made of Sunbrella fabric and are guaranteed for the 2-year period against abnormal wear and tear and damage.  Sample banners are displayed at Beverly National Bank at 240 Cabot St and at Carroll’s Florist at 385 Cabot St.

There are 100 banners for sale.  Sponsors will be able to select the approximate location of their banner(s) on a first-come, first-served basis based on the date of receipt of application and payment and the availability of existing light poles with brackets.  Banners will be hung throughout the downtown district on Cabot, Rantoul, Elliott, Dane, Knowlton and Essex streets.

Each banner with sponsor tag is $300 for the 2-year period.  Deadline for ordering is 3/31/09.

Click here to see a map of the downtown with banner locations marked with a number.  If there is an "X" over the number, that banner is already taken.  If there is a "T" next to the number, there is a nearby tree that may (or may not) obstruct view in one direction.  Click here to see a listing of the banners with the closest landmark or business, which might help you decide which banner location you want.  We recommend you drive by the location you're interested in and make sure it's what you want.

Proceeds will fund a downtown streetscape fund and the work of Beverly Main Streets to achieve our mission of making downtown Beverly a great place to live, work, shop, visit and play.
