Historic Garden Restoration

Thanks for Helping Us Restore a Downtown Historic Garden!

In recent years, we have hosted an annual cleanup of the downtown called “Clean Sweeps.” For 2013, we shook things up a bit and focused our cleanup efforts on the historic Cabot House and Museum.

Thanks to everyone who joined our Design Committee and over 50 community volunteers to start restoring the yard and gardens of the Cabot House back to what they looked like in 1891. We joined with Beverly Historical Society and the Friendly Garden Club and focused on the cleanup of the yard and painting of the summer house gazebo. Thanks to Cafe Salerno for donating a delicious lunch and to the City for a quick pickup of the yard trash and edging the garden beds. Soon this hidden gem in the heart of downtown will be restored for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike!
